Count the workflows, not just the screens
A form can be simple while the rules around approvals, lot tracking or corrections are not. Scope depends on how work moves and what exceptions matter.
Choose a first release
Start with the one module that removes the clearest friction. Add only the reports and connections needed to use it well.
Ask what support includes
Clarify training, hosting, backups, fixes, change requests and ownership in the written scope.
Compare like with like
When reviewing proposals, compare the workflows covered, assumptions, delivery steps and support terms. A headline price alone does not show the difference.
Every business works a little differently. Map your own workflow and check any accounting or compliance decisions with the people responsible for them.
